It was a lovely tea party!

We had a lively discussion about our Constitution and the Bill of Rights on the way to town.  I wondered if our small town would have a decent turnout.  I was thrilled when I turned the corner to our courthouse square.  There were many people… all ages…all walks of life…many carrying signs.

Here is one of my favorite ones!

The arrogance of many of the politicians….seems that they forget that WE pay their salaries…perhaps it is time to pull that plug for some of the socialist/marxist candidates during the next election!

We had some wonderful speakers – warning about the implementation of the communist manifesto here in our beloved country, the dangers of the thefts bailouts, and explaining to people that the Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express and also explaining how dangerous this banking cartel is to our economy.

One of our former Representatives, David Davis, spoke eloquently and was well received!

One of the speakers asked for 12 volunteers and then explained exactly how much a trillion dollars is…

3 of my 4 boys are in this picture…everyone is getting into position….and once they did the picture made the front page of our local paper.

People were kind, polite, and respectful….they were also fed up, angry, and demanding change….you know that thing the President promised…”change”….well what he is delivering isn’t measuring up to what our Constitution promises and what the people want…..and they are beginning to let him know!

Our area is already calling for a repeat on July 4th…sounds like a plan to me!

    I’m not sure I understand the teaparty thing?July 4th is celebrating America, it should not be used as a means partisan politicizing.Democrats love America too. Crazy, I know. 😉

    Hi Zoe,I don’t think I ever made this a partisan thing….we were not speaking out against the Democrats…at least not at our Tea Party. There were both Republicans and Democrats present…probably more Democrats than Republicans since that party is more heavily represented in my area.What you don’t understand is that the Tea Parties were not about partisan politics. It is about a government, both Democrat and Republican, that is out of control. They have gone beyond the powers given to them in the Constitution (both parties) and have become a burden to the people because of their foolish spending (both parties), trampling of the Constitution (both parties) and deciding that they know better than “we the people” (both parties).It is about saying enough is enough…we want our country back…liberty and freedom….and not socialism which has failed every time it has ever been implemented in the history of this world.It is about exercising our freedoms to let the Federal government (both parties) know that they are out of control (both parties) and we are pulling in the reigns (on both parties) so that America can once again be true to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that helped to make this country so wonderful…what better day than the 4th of July to remind them (both parties) that we’re serious and we have had enough!Blessings,Cheri

    Oooh, I see.I have to read more about it to form a coherent opinion.They chose an unfortunate name.Teabaggers? Someone didn’t put too much research into that.

    Pics look familiar. :)That reference was unknown to me until I realized through news reports that people with crass mentalities use it in a vulgar way. Those involved in the Tea Party movement do not use it, only those who want to use derogatory words to describe those involved.If you talk to those involved, you will find this has nothing to do with party lines. You will find plenty of people unhappy with the same things that Bush did during his Republican leadership. At our rally, I don’t believe party affiliation was even brought up. I know of several parties whose people stood together at our rally. Education is key here. Most people are sorely uneducated about it. If you only watch liberal media, you will not hear the true story.We are celebrating America on July 4th. The constitutionally correct, founding fathers built Republic of the United States of America. Not the fascist, New and Changed version being slung across the global billboard.Democrats can love the Constitution of our United States just like all the other 999 political parties can. If they choose to.

    Not a huge turnout at the Tea Party in my area, I think it was only because it was deluging rain though! There were maybe a about 70 people.We had some speakers that had some great points. Some people had signs, some were in costume, and some were dressed patriotically.A couple of ladies hung tea bags from their umbrellas (cute!). But, all over other parts of the states (DE and MD) they had parties that were held at different times, and the ones held earlier in the day when it wasn’t raining had around 2000!I also sent a Tea Bag to Washington DC.
